February – the month known for love. For God so loved that He gave …………..

and we should being doing the same, I believe. Giving of ourselves to the Lord first and foremost, then to helping others. Give your life to Jesus! Give your hands to help others, your feet to walk, your mouth to speak to others about the Lord and what He has done for you.

Praise the Lord!! Give always, give just as the Lord has given to you. In giving, you minister to others, they learn more about the love of Jesus when you show them compassion and kindness!

Let love cast out all of the negatives, never say, “I can’t” – always say, “the love of God is eternally more powereful than any impossibility that man can think of.” God wants nothing but the best for you. So show His love to others through you, bless them as He has blessed you!

Love could change the world if people would only share some with their neighbors!

Always find something good in someone, no matter who they are. Remember God made them and we are to love them. Love thy neighbor. Love one another!

If we had no winters, we woudn’t appreciate spring. If we didn’t taste adversity, prosperity wouldn’t be as welcome. If we didn’t have trials, if everyday was wonderful, we would soon think “we have no need for God.” Love the Lord with all your heart, praise His Holy Name!

The pictures above are part of the huge wall all the way around the school. The one on the left is in front of the kindergarten, the one on the right is the wall continuing on around. This part is still under construction. the new gates match the big one which is where the bus enters.

The pictures below are of the new kitchen which opened today (Monday the 8th)

The other picture is the children playing at recess, all of the children that I have spoken with really like going to the school this year because of all of the changes – blessings to you.

Thank you Lord Jesus for blessing others so they may assist the children in learning about You.

Parents are coming from far away, as far as an hour on the bus, to enroll their children, because they have heard about this school. Thank you Lord Jesus! They know that the public school system is a mess and that we strive to help their children learn – Jesus is blessing this school.

School started this year – Wednesday the 3rd. there are 178 children in the school this year, a big change from last year or two years ago when the school first started.

Last year there were about 80 students in Kindergarten to sixth grade.

Thank you precious Lord Jesus for the blessing – for blessing the children!

This has been such a blessing to the community and especially to the poor here who previously had no other option and had to send their children to the public schools, which are usually closed and the children receive very little education.

We pray Lord Jesus that we may assist them even more and continue to build more classrooms.

We have repainted the Kindergarten, while building and painting the new classroom. The 7th grade classroom. This is what has indeed drawn more students, a school that the parents know their children will be able to continue their education beyond the sixth grade, which is all that’s required in Honduras. To go beyond that in Honduras, the parents have to put their children in a private school and pay much more than they can afford, which usually means – they don’t go!

God continues to show us the treasures that He has tucked away in this small village on the north eastern part of Honduras. Passed over and forgotten by many, the poor are considered trash here to those who have money or act like they do, but not to God! The Lord sees the diamonds in the rough, covered by dust and dirt (many literally!) Lacking brilliance and unrecognized--until the hand of the Lord wipes away the dirt to reveal the radiance underneath! They are His children and we are the caretakers. Bless you for caring for them, praying for them and helping them!!

I saw Roberto today (I hadn’t spoken to him for quite some time) he has been having a lot of problems with other people harassing him and worse. I had left him alone for that same reason awhile back. People were stealing what I gave him, so he would rather go without than to have the harassment. I asked him today if he wanted me to buy him something to eat, he said, “No!”

I knew he wanted something, but there were people around and so he declined.

Please pray for Roberto, he needs a lot of prayer.

If you don’t remember who Roberto is – is he lives on the street, I have been helping him for a couple of years and speaking to him about Jesus.

Please pray for Roberto!

They still happen don’t they?

Two earthquakes were recorded yesterday – both 4.8 per the United states geological survey, near the center or middle of Honduras.

Two earthquakes were recorded today (Friday, February 12) in Honduras, according to the country's emergency management agency, COPECO. A quake measuring 4.9 hit at 11:45 am in the department of Yoro. It was followed at 11:47 am by a magnitude 4.6 aftershock, near the village of La Masica in the department of Atlántida.

A magnitude 6.1 quake, hit at 11:55 am near the village of La Rosa in Yoro.

COPECO's commissioner, Julio César Cruz, reported damage to at least 30 homes in the community of Lotiwi and another 15 homes in Guadalupe -- both in Yoro.

The late president Ronald Reagan learned the importance of decision making early in life.

An aunt had taken him to a cobbler to have a pair shoes made for him. The shoemaker asked the young lad, “Do you want a square toe or a round toe?” Reagan hemmed and haw. So the cobbler said, “Come back in a day or two and let me know what you want.” A few days later the shoemaker saw this future president on the street and asked what was decided about the shoes.

“I still have not made up my mind,” the boy answered, “Very well” said the cobbler.

When the shoes were received, the boy was shocked to see the one had a square toe and the other a round toe. “Looking at the shoes every day taught me a lesson,” Ronald Reagan said, years later, “If you don´t make your own decisions, somebody else will make them for you!”

If we don’t stand up for what is right, we soon will be controlled by all that is wrong!

If we don’t willingly follow the Lord, we may be forced to follow what is wicked!!
