The Ministry

Hollow eyes, dirty bodies and bulging bellies…..describes the thousands of underprivileged, disease-stricken, hungry and uneducated children in the country of Honduras.

Accomplishments :

The basic mission of ServeHim is to assist the poor of Honduras and to teach them about Jesus Christ as it is documented and recognized in the Holy Bible.  The true Word of God!

As you browse through the photo’s page you will see some of what has transpired over the years.  The building of a church for the community was considered “a true blessing and gift from God” Another blessing has been the donations for Bibles and school supplies.  These are always an ongoing necessity for families.  This ministry has over the years (as the photos show) built homes, schools, a church and donated many, many items.
Praise Jesus for His kindness in using people like you to bestow donations to these people and in changing their lives so they may see Jesus through your love.

What we would like to achieve:

We are praying for more churches!  This is a great need since there are some communities that do not have a church.  I would also like to have a building to further educated pastors from the various communities near La Ceiba.  In addition, we want to assist children so they may attend Private Christian bilingual schools, which will enhance their knowledge of Jesus Christ our Lord!

Imagine that you are a poverty-stricken couple or single mother living in dirt covered, one-room house of rotting wood that is ready to fall down.  You don't have money to feed your children.  How can I get ahead, you ask?  How can I improve my life?  How do I get enough food or pure water?  How do I keep my children from joining a gang and taking drugs?  How can I send my children to school?  These questions go through the hearts of many Hondurans who are currently living far below the poverty line in sub-standard housing.  For many generations this question was left unanswered, however, now they have an answer – it is the kindness of donors like you, sustaining this ministry.

Thoughts - He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again. Prov 18:17

Stories from Honduras -

There are so many stories that could be told, however I would like to point out one.
I would like to mention an incident pertaining to a little girl whose life was dramatically changed because of God’s intervention through a couple who wanted to help.

Elizabeth was living in very substandard housing, barely having enough to eat and having to work all day instead of going to school. Her family barely exists on the minimal amount of money they receive from selling pork skins and misc. items. She lived the life of an abused child. When this ministry heard about the situation she received assistance by being put into a Christian school, as well as being removed from the abusive situation and moved to an orphanage. Later, she was placed into a Christian family instead of living at the orphanage, since then her life has changed dramatically. Receiving a Christian education and living with a family
who love her dearly is something that was unthinkable before.

She is always talking about Jesus and living a satisfying life. There really is no way to express in words the way her life has changed. All of the praise and glory goes to You – Lord Jesus!

This ministry would like to assist as many as the Lord will allow through your loving kindness, contributions and prayers

God bless you!
